A Scenic Drive That’s Sure to Lighten Up Your Holiday Spirits
Christmas in the Park has been a long standing tradition that many Grand Forks families look forward to. This year marks the 11th annual event put on by the locally operated Lions Club. It’s a great way to enjoy the festive decorations with your family and support local events at the same time.
For the last few years, I’ve looked forward to packing my family in the car with some piping hot cocoa and spending some quality time just taking it all in. I always enjoy seeing the different displays set up by the sponsoring local businesses, and every year it seems to be better than the last.
The entrance to Christmas in the Park is located in Lincoln Park just off Belmont Road and 13th Ave South. You simply drive up to the entrance and pay the admission fee ($5 cars, $10 limos, $20 bus) that goes right back into projects that make Grand Forks an even better community. The event starts each evening from 5:30pm-11pm from November 23rd through December 31st.
I strongly suggest you take your family out for a night at the park and make it a holiday tradition as I have for many years to come. While you’re at it, make sure to drive up and down Reeves Drive and other streets next to the park, where you’re sure to see some beautifully decorated Grand Forks homes and festive lighting that decorates this part of town each year.
